Portable Design, Full Studio Functionality
With Arturia's unwavering commitment to synthesizer research and design, it is no surprise that the most recent edition of their small MIDI machine outperformed its predecessor. The MiniLab 3 maintains the 25-key configuration while having a slim shape and weighing slightly more than three pounds. An ergonomic design incorporates two capacitive touch sensors for pitch and modulation control, respectively. Eight touch- and pressure-sensitive pads are divided into two banks, resulting in 16 completely assignable RGB-backlit slots. Eight rotary encoders are joined by four high-quality sliders to accommodate a variety of control systems. A new small display incorporates a clickable browsing knob that gives real-time feedback on changes made to any of the MiniLab 3's 500 presets. The built-in arpeggiator, hold and chord modes, and transposition by octave or semitone are all easily controlled thanks to the intuitive functionality. Custom DAW scripts are designed to integrate seamlessly with major workstations as well as Arturia's wide software instrument collection. The USB-C connection works seamlessly with almost any system. The MIDI 5-pin DIN output instantly connects to external MIDI gear, while the external control input allows for more expressive extension. Studio specialists think that the MiniLab 3 is a fitting successor to the brand and an absolute must-have for studio setups of any size!
